Group Policy
Overview
Version 2 allows to restrict or completely deactivate Proxy Switcher by policies.
It is now possible to pre-configure the tool and lock it for the end users within in an enterprise environment.
Installation
After extracting the files, they must be copied to the domain central store. For computers not joined to a domain, copy the files to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions.
Using
The following policies are available:
- Deactivate the entire application
- Lock the proxy settings
- Lock the auto switch settings
- Lock the application settings
- Lock the program preferences
- Change the settings path for the clients (default: [User]\AppData\Roaming\ProxySwitcher)
Requirements
Client: Windows Vista or above
Server: Windows Server 2008 or above
